DC165 Advance solid-carbide drills from Walter have four polished margins for less friction

Walter has introduced the DC165 Advance family of straight-flute, solid-carbide drills for nonferrous and cast-iron applications. They feature four polished margins that provide for less friction and improve hole quality, surface finish, roundness, and straightness, the manufacturer states.

Their polished clearance angle, relief angle, and flutes provide improved wear and chip evacuation. The coolant-through drills have emulsion or oil and coolant pressure of 145 to 580 PSI. They are offered in cylindrical shank configuration and have a 120-degree point angle with tolerance of m7.
