Fein’s compact JMC MagForce 90 magnetic drill includes 1,150-W brushless motor

Fein has expanded its selection of Slugger by Fein magnetic drills with the introduction of the JMC MagForce 90. According to the company, the tool is the smallest compact drill of its kind, weighing in at less than 19 lbs., and the only one of its size with a brushless motor.

The drill offers a capacity of 1-3/8 by 1-1/4 in., a 1,150-W brushless motor that is 100% duty cycle, and electronic speed setting. Used with both high-speed-steel and carbide-tip annular cutters, the tool can be operated in hard-to-reach spaces, including vertically and overhead.

Each drill has a magnetic holding force of 2,248 lbf in addition to a tilt sensor safety shutoff, which automatically shuts down the drill in the event of a slip. It also features a high gearbox to help ensure a clear view of the drill and drilling point.
