HMD904 magnetic drill from Hougen designed for improved safety

Hougen Mfg. Inc. has released the HMD904 portable magnetic drill. This upgraded lightweight model features a small footprint, with overall height lowered by 1-1/2 in.

The hidden motor cord is incorporated into the drill’s motor casing and housing to help increase safety and reduce maintenance. The pilot light is built into the magnet to help the operator line up the pilot with the hole’s center location in low-light conditions. The two-stage magnet increases magnetic holding power by 30% when the drill motor is turned on.

The arbor system utilizes a 5/8-in. slot drive for increased rigidity, hole accuracy, positive slug ejection, and quicker use of accessories such as drill chucks and tapping attachments.
