Portable magnetic drill produces holes up to 5-1/8 in. dia.

CS Unitec’s MAB 1300 portable magnetic drill has what the company says is the largest hole-cutting capacity in the industry: 5-1/8 in. dia. with annular cutters. The drill’s 20-amp, 110-V, double-insulated, reversible motor is suitable for drilling structural steel and other metals.

Designed for continuous use, the 4-speed oilbath gearbox is designed for applications requiring high power. With its 12-in. stroke, the drill performs large-hole tapping up to 1-5/8 in. dia., twist drilling up to 1-3/4 in., countersinking up to 3 in., and reaming up to 2 in. It has a 1-1/4-in. arbor with an adapter for ¾ in.

The high-density, three-coil magnet has a holding strength of up to 23,600 lbs., providing the pulling power required for heavy-duty drilling. The unit includes an integrated, automatic cooling and lubrication system to reduce friction and wear.
