Powermatic PM2820EVS drill press from JPW Industries offers electronic variable speed

JPW Industries offers the Powermatic PM2820EVS drill press, engineered with a gear drive system and electronic variable-speed motor. The 20-in. stationary drill press also features a removable center table, laser crosshairs for workpiece positioning, patented depth stop, and premium fence with adjustable stop.

According to the company, the geared drive transfers torque more consistently and dependably than a belt drive at all speeds for use on steel, aluminum, and nonmetals. The 1-HP, single-phase, 8-amp motor is prewired for 115 V.

The drill’s 20-1/2- by 15-1/4-in. center table can be removed from its supporting frame to provide access for fixturing and drilling oversized workpieces or installation of accessory tables. The large cast-iron table tilts from 0 to 90 degrees.
