PTD HX jobber drill from Dormer Pramet includes purple/bronze coating for wear resistance

Dormer Pramet offers the Precision Twist Drill HX high-speed jobber drill. It combines the toughness of a HSS substrate with a 135-degree split point design to help reduce thrust requirements and eliminate walking while providing strength and rigidity.

According to the manufacturer, the drill can deliver up to 70% more holes in moderate conditions compared to other high-speed-steel, heavy-duty jobber drills, as well as 18% more holes in heavy conditions and up to 30% more holes in light conditions.

The drill’s purple/bronze oxide coating helps increase wear resistance, while its flute geometry is designed for effective chip evacuation.
