Voortman V325 performs drilling, cutting, and milling of heavy plate

The Voortman V325 plate processing machine drills holes in material up to 4 in. thick. Two servo-driven clamps guide the material through, while a 20-station tool changer provides capabilities for extended unattended operation.

Helical rack-and-pinion guided gripper trucks eliminate edge and surface mill tolerance issues, the company reports. Stock material goes on, and finished product comes off. Features include automatic underside deburring, automatic part removal, easy torch remounting after collision, and a CAT50 servo drill spindle.
