Lightweight Z4 welding respirator from RPB Safety designed for comfort

RPB Safety has introduced the Z4 welding respirator. Offering features to keep the operator comfortable and protected, the respirator is up to 23 percent ligher weight than its competitors, the company reports. The lightweight unit comprises a clear, ANSI Z87+ approved grinding visor and a flip-up welding visor. The large auto-darkening-filter (ADF) lens offers an optical quality rating of 1.1.1.1.lens. The respirator can be customized with shade five peripheral side windows or window blockers, included with the unit.

Six adjustment points on the head suspension help ensure it fits securely and moves with the operator. Padding distributes weight evenly, eliminating pressure points and neck strain.

The patent-pending dual air distribution system delivers 80 percent of the air to the operator’s breathe zone through a multidirectional swivel outlet; the remaining 20 percent goes to the lens to eliminate fogging.
