Automatic mitering band saw is fully programmable

Kalamazoo Machine Tool has introduced the model KTech 502 A-M fully automatic mitering band saw. The shuttle-vise machine is fully hydraulic and fully programmable to automatically cut miters from 60 degrees left to 60 degrees right and any length desired.

Two saw vises on the infeed side help ensure the material is clamped and never released during feeding and sawing operations. The bar feeder travels on ball screws for maximum accuracy. The cutoff side features a hydraulic stop assembly to keep material in line while the automatic mitering sequence is taking place. The saw is supplied with a 1-1/4-in. by 13-ft., 11-in. blade with variable speeds from 60 to 360 SFPM.

The saw’s capacities include 14-in. round materials, 12- by 17-in. rectangular materials, and 10- by 13-in. rectangular materials at 60 degrees. It has a free-standing operator’s console that can be placed in the most advantageous operator location.
