Bimetal band saw blades cut large beams, heavy-walled tubes

The HRX™ bimetal band saw blade, engineered to cut structural steel, large metal beams, and heavy-walled tubes, is available from LENOX®.

LENOX POWER BLAST TECHNOLOGY® strengthens the blade to help minimize breaks. The blade makes straight cuts through wide cross-sections while improving chip flow and reducing blade deflection, the company reports. The blade’s tooth geometry is designed to minimize edge chipping and crooked cuts, and the alternating set teeth widen the cutting channel to limit blade pinching.

The blade is available in widths from 1-1/4 to 2-5/8 in., with extra-heavy set options available to prevent blade pinching in large material.
