Simonds Saw has launched a line of bimetal band saw blades designed for use in applications such as general-purpose cutting, production cutting, and cutting of structural steel and tough exotic alloys.

The company’s Dieband, Broadband, and Blockbuster general-purpose commodity and production band saw blades will be phased out in favor of Epic GP. Its Broadband and IC Enduro general-purpose commodity band saw blades will be phased out in favor of SBX GP. And X51 for the production cutting of tough steel and high-nickel alloys will be phased out in favor of SiClone XP.
