New 3851 Sandflex COBRA band saw blade from Bahco features high blade hardness

Bahco’s 3851 Sandflex Cobra band saw blade, available from Snap-on Industrial, has a powdered metal M42 high-speed steel tooth edge for high hardness and toughness and smooth cuts.

The blade is designed for contour cutting, including aluminum and steel. The new geometry of the blade’s variable teeth pattern is mathematically formulated to maximize cutting with less friction and vibration, the company states.

Two blade styles are available. The hook style has a traditional tooth design with 10-degree rake angle, used for nonferrous metals. The combo style has a new tooth geometry with variable teeth with an 8- to 10-degree rake angle.
