Fiber-lined box furnace heats quickly to 2,200 degrees F

Lucifer Furnaces Inc. has developed the model L17-M18 electric ceramic fiber-lined box furnace for a stamping manufacturer of automotive parts. With a chamber size of 12 by 18 by 18 in., the furnace heats quickly to 2,200 degrees F.

A hotface of 2-in. ceramic fiber insulation with 3-in. coldface mineral wool block insulation around the entire chamber maximizes heating efficiency with low power input. Ceramic fiber insulation—with low heat storage, low thermal conductivity, and high thermal shock resistance—allows fast heat-up and cool-down cycles.
