Job costing software for small to midsized companies introduced

Dynamic Systems Inc. has developed CheckMate Job Tracking, a bar code technology job costing software program designed for small to midsized companies that need a way to track labor and materials against jobs. The software allows job data to be broken down into tasks, employees, or departments.
The work order is printed with a barcode identification number and each employee is assigned a bar-coded badge. The work order number and the badge are scanned using a barcode reader (a scanner “corded” to a PC, a portable barcode terminal, or a fixed-mount bar code terminal) as work begins on the job. When used in conjunction with the company’s Stockroom software, full materials management is added to the data.
The location of the work order within the manufacturing process can be tracked, allowing the production manager to forecast finish dates and identify any holdups or bottlenecks in the process.
Job Data includes a time and use and simple to set-up, the company says. attendance module, which collects labor hours for payroll. This module is capable of accounting for breaks, lunch, and start/end times by automatically clocking the employee in/out at the preset times. The Windows-based system is easy to Dynamic Systems Inc.
