SH3636 blasting machine from Viking allows for continuous part processing

Viking has introduced the SH3636 Spinner Hanger blaster. The unit has a 36- by 36-in. working area chamber and two VK PowerMax 15-HP blast wheels running at 3,525 RPM. The wheel has a capacity of 310 lbs. of abrasive per minute with a velocity of about 295 FPS.

The blast cabinet rotates a primary drum with two compartments to allow for continuous processing of parts for manual loading and unloading of the front compartment without system shutdown. The drum is lined with ¼-in. manganese alloy on the sides and ½-in. cast chrome-moly directly in front of the blast wheels. Each compartment contains one fixture in front of the blast wheels with a hook capacity of 750 lbs.
