BEA Lasers’ Flat Pack Laser alignment module suitable for use in waterjet cutting, robotic assembly

BEA Lasers has introduced the Flat Pack Laser (FPL) alignment module. It includes the laser diode and its housing, a mounting base, and a separate power supply. The 20-mm-high flat pack mounting is designed for size-constrained applications. The base is 30 mm square, and the laser housing is 18 by 18 mm. With the extended laser unit, the overall length is 45 mm.

Suitable applications include drilling, counting, positioning, and edge detection in machining, waterjet cutting, riveting, robotic assembly, and tool and die.
