FARO Vantage 6Probe laser tracker features quick-change probing tips

FARO Technologies Inc. has introduced the next-generation Vantage Laser Tracker 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DoF) Probe. The portable 6Probe features kinematic self-identifying styli, so users can change probing tips quickly and measure without any recalibration, as well as measure hidden areas outside of the tracker’s line of sight with wider acceptance angles. The ActiveSeek feature automatically locates and follows the active target.

The company’s trackers support the patented Super 6DoF TrackArm system, which allows the Vantage and one or more ScanArms to work together to create an integrated contact and noncontact 3D measurement system for large-volume measurement.
