Hitachi High-Tech Analytical Science offers FM Expert compact spark spectrometer

Hitachi High-Tech Analytical Science Corp. has introduced the FM Expert optical emission spectrometer for metals analysis in foundries and metal production. The compact unit with optional floor stand has a large wavelength range suitable for analyzing all relevant elements in metals quality assurance and production process control. Its compact CCD optics system also allows the analysis of nitrogen at low levels.

The spectrometer combines patented smart optics with an improved plasma view to help ensure excellent analytical performance with low detection limits over the entire wavelength range, states the manufacturer. The argon-purged optics help lengthen maintenance intervals. The unit’s sealed argon system, optimized optical plasma view, and concentric electrode shielding argon flow help ensure reliable nitrogen analysis down to a detection limit of 30 PPM.
