Lloyd Instruments LS5HS universal testing machine from Ametek STC works at ultrahigh speed

Ametek STC has introduced the Lloyd Instruments LS5HS, a single-column universal testing machine that provides ultrahigh-speed testing, with a test and return speed of 80 IPM. It can provide results for all materials testing applications up to 5 kN, supporting test types such as tensile, compression, bend, friction, tearing, peeling, insertion/extraction, and creep/relaxation.

Because the machine is designed to automate work flows, robots can be coupled to the machine to speed up the testing process further. Additionally, automated, repetitive tests can be run in hours rather than days, helping to eliminate operator error, improve operator safety, and reduce cost.
