Monitor provides immediate reading of weld purge gas from 3,280 ft. away

Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT® has introduced the PurgEye® 1000 Weld Purge Monitor®. It allows the user to have an immediate reading of the weld purge gas at the underside of the joint from any distance up to 3,280 ft. away.

A zirconia sensor in a remote module is placed at the purge gas exhaust, very close to the weld, mounted inside the purging system, and connected to the measuring instrument by a data cable. The purge reading is sent back to the instrument at the speed of light, instantaneously providing actual oxygen readings down to 10 PPM.
