New generation of cassette levelers from Automatic Feed handle variety of materials

Automatic Feed Co. has announced the availability of its newest generation of precision cassette levelers. The levelers are designed for advanced and ultrahigh-strength steel, tailor welded blanks, and surface-critical steel and aluminum. They provide superior flatness on a variety of material types, widths, thicknesses, and yield strengths, the company states.

The HSS model processes material thickness from 0.5 to 2.5 mm and up to 2 m wide. The HD-HSS model processes thicknesses of 0.5 to 4.0 mm for widths up to 2,134 mm and features 11 banks of backups for optimal flattening. The XLC-HSS model can process thicknesses of 0.5 to 6 mm for materials up to 2,134 mm. Each leveler is designed to run in lines at speeds up to 90 m/min.
