Portable system measures tubes using light pattern, cameras

Transfluid has developed t control, a wireless system for measuring tubes and connection elements like flanges. The system does not need arms, joints, or laser beams and measures via a defined light pattern that is observed by one or more cameras. These determine the position and orientation of the light pattern in space.

Raw data is recorded, and corresponding interfaces allow exchange of data with CAD and the manufacturer’s bending program t project and direct integration of the tube bending machine in the process.

The portable system measures directly at the object, so it is suitable for use at the construction site. It is ready to start within 5 min.
