Compact waterjet cutter suitable for prototyping, low-volume cutting

The ProtoMAX® abrasive waterjet from OMAX® Corp. is a compact, self-installed cutting system suitable for prototyping and relatively low-volume cutting of almost any material less than 2 in. thick. It is designed for use in small job shops, engineering classrooms, and for personal use, or as an addition for large shops that need occasional waterjet capabilities.

The unit delivers 30,000-PSI cutting power with a 5-HP pump. It cuts with no HAZ and no change to the material properties. The pump and cutting table are on casters for portability. Work material is submerged under water for clean, quiet cutting that won’t disrupt a shared workspace.
