Waterjet cutting machine updated with new features

OMAX® Corp. offers the new MAXIEM® 1530 JetMachining® waterjet cutting machine. It features updated digital linear encoders, a Z-axis core with optional multiaxis cutting heads, streamlined abrasive hopper designs, and self-leveling base legs. The unit has the lowest ceiling height in the industry, says the company.

The system comes with a 50,000-PSI pump that features variable-frequency drive technology for cutting pressure control. The pump delivers more cutting power per kilowatt than intensifier-type pumps, the manufacturer reports.

The machine’s Windows® 8 controller comes preloaded with the Intelli-MAX® software suite and features a 23-in. display screen for viewing of part files and tool paths. The software allows operators to generate complex geometries and process almost any type of material. The software also features Intelli-VISOR® system monitoring for predictable machine maintenance capability.
