SkillsBuilding training program in Dallas offers debt-free training in welding

Meritize, a provider of funding programs for skills-based education and workforce development, has launched a SkillsBuilding training program in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.

The program gives area residents the opportunity to gain debt-free, on-the-job training in specific, skills-based jobs with direct access to employment upon graduation. Training classes, covering jobs including welding, CNC machinist, and industrial technician, run for five to 16 weeks, and full- and part-time training positions are available.

Through its SkillsBuilding model, the company recruits qualified candidates who are selected to be trained in critical, in-demand skills and then matches them with employers following their training. Candidates are paid during their training and do not pay anything toward their education if they complete the program and perform satisfactorily in their employment.
