Advance Welding marks 45 years in business

Springfield, Mass.-based Advance Welding, a welding and metal fabrication company serving the aerospace and defense, automotive, energy, medical, and semiconductor sectors, is celebrating its 45th year in business.

The company recently acquired KTI Inc. of East Windsor, Conn., expanding Advance Welding’s Nadcap- and FAA-certified laser and electron beam welding capabilities for aerospace, defense, and power generation applications.

Additionally, after receiving a $250,000 Massachusetts Manufacturing Accelerate Program grant and partnering with the Western MA Economic Development Council, the company purchased electron beam welding and laser beam weld chambers, power sources, pumps, and support equipment for fusion welding services
