IPG Photonics, Miller Electric join forces to develop hand-held laser welding systems

IPG Photonics Corp., a provider of fiber laser technology in Marlborough, Mass., and Appleton, Wis.-based Miller Electric Mfg. LLC, a manufacturer of arc welding products, have announced a strategic partnership with a goal to promote laser systems for hand-held welding applications.

The partnership will offer welders access to next-generation laser technology designed to address their needs and suit their specific requirements, the companies state.
