IRCO sells welding automation lines to Niagara Energy Products
IRCO Automation, Burlington, Ont., has sold two welding automation lines to Niagara Energy Products (NEP), Niagara Falls, Ont., a manufacturer of components for the energy, construction, and petrochemical industries. The lines will be used initially to weld nuclear storage containers measuring up to 7 ft. dia.
The first system, delivered May 2017, is an automated GMAW line. The second system, scheduled to be delivered later this year, is a mechanized SAW line. Both include welding manipulators integrated with turning rolls and fit-up systems.
