WyoTech launches applied welding technology program

Responding to the needs of the oil and gas, structural, manufacturing, and fabrication sectors, automotive trade school WyoTech, Laramie, Wyo., has created a new welding and fabrication training program designed to provide hands-on experience and skills.

The new six-month applied welding technology program provides the opportunity for students to attain multiple welding qualifications based on AWS standards. Along with welding skills, students are taught blueprint reading and the intricacies of project fabrication through hands-on experience. Students spend 70% of their time in the shop learning all major welding processes in all positions on steel plate and pipe, aluminum, and stainless.
