HyperFill GMAW system from Lincoln Electric uses twin-wire design for high-deposition welding

Lincoln Electric® has introduced HyperFill™, a patent-pending, twin-wire system for high-deposition GMAW. Developed for semiautomatic or robotic applications, the system increases the usable deposition rate.

It uses two smaller-diameter wires to produce a larger weld droplet and arc cone. This generates a large weld puddle, allowing operators to increase usable deposition rates on average up to 50 percent over traditional single-wire processes, says the company.

The system uses a single power source, feeder, gun liner, and contact tip.
