Optrel’s “ready” welding helmet designed to be cost-effective

Optrel has introduced its new “ready” automatic welding helmet. It offers IR and UV protection, even in inactive state, and features a sturdy, lightweight helmet shell, but remains cost-effective, the company reports.

Features include seamless shade level adjustment 4/ 9-13, a sensitivity control, a comfort headband, an adapter for use with standard-brim hard hats, and power by solar cell and battery.

The helmet meets industry standards US ANSI Z877.1 and European CE (EN379, EN 175, EN 166) and complies with Canadian CSA Z94.3.
