Black Stallion’s AH1630-GS welding cap designed for fit, comfort

Black Stallion® has introduced the AH1630-GS welding cap. Constructed of single-layer, flame-resistant (FR) cotton, it provides lightweight protection from sparks, with reduced heat trapping.

The combination of 7-oz. FR cotton and 6-oz. FR cotton stretch knit provides a comfortably snug fit, the company says. Three sizes are available, and the deep crown allows the cap to be worn where it should be, just above the eyebrows and over the top of the ears.

The wide, long bill on the cap offers neck protection from sparks and from sunburn and UV rays when welding outside. Hidden within the bill is a flap of 7-oz. FR cotton that can extend over a welding jacket collar for more neck protection.
