ESAB has introduced the Ruffian ES 150G, an engine-driven welding generator that offers a 150-amp SMAW output at 60% duty cycle and 4,500 W of peak 120-V/240-V AC power. It combines welding technology from the company’s Rogue SMAW inverter with a 14-HP KOHLER Command Pro engine.

The machine is built for construction, service trucks, farm/ranch, light fabrication, maintenance, and other outdoor applications that require on-site portability. It runs all types of DC stick electrodes up to 5/32 in. dia., providing easy arc starts and a smooth and stable welding arc, the company states.

The 236-lb. unit has lifting points for manual team lifting, as well as an optional lifting eye for use with a forklift or crane.
