ESAB Rebel EMP 285ic offered in one-, three-phase versions

ESAB Welding & Cutting Products offers the Rebel™ EMP 285ic multiprocess welder for GMAW, FCAW, DC SMAW, and GTAW. The one-phase version accepts 90 to 270 V primary power, provides a rated output of 285 amps at 40 percent duty cycle, and has a maximum output of 300 amps/36 V. The three-phase version accepts 460 to 575 V primary, provides a rated output of 285 amps at 50 percent duty cycle, and has a maximum output of 350 amps/36 V. Both weigh 70 lbs.

It offers spray transfer welding with 0.045-in. solid wires and 0.047-in. aluminum wires, as well as welding with 0.045- and 0.052-in. flux-cored wires. It also handles larger-diameter SMAW electrodes and GTAW rods.
