Submerged arc electrode resists corrosion

Select-Arc Inc. has introduced SelectWear 410NiMo-S, a hardsurfacing martensitic stainless steel wire. The tubular submerged arc welding electrode produces a deposit that resists abrasion, corrosion, and thermal fatigue.

Available in 3/32, 7/64, and 1/8 in. dia., the electrode is used in such hardsurfacing applications as pinch rolls, caster rolls, and idler rolls.
