Metabo Flapper discs combine strength, longevity

Metabo Corp. offers flap discs with three levels of performance: the heavy-duty Original Flapper, the super-duty Flapper Plus, and the extreme-duty Ceramic Flapper.

Another option is the Flapper Plus Jumbo, which has 62 percent more flaps than the standard Flapper Plus and is designed for extended grinding time without changing discs. The plastic-backed Flapper Plus Trimmable and Ceramic Flapper Trimmable discs offer increased flexibility and include 5/8-11 threading for spinning the disc on and off.

The company also offers specialty convex flap discs for shaping fillet welds and grinding on edge in confined areas.

The company’s flap discs are offered in 4-1/2, 5, 6, and 7 in. dia., in hubbed and nonhubbed styles; type 27 and type 29; as well as 40, 60, 80, and 120 grits.
