FARO Digi-Cube digital laser scan head offers plug-and-play replacement

FARO® has introduced the Digi-Cube® digital laser scan head. This high-precision, high-scan-rate, servo-controlled scan head integrates into a variety of laser scanning products to help optimize productivity and output quality, the company reports. It is suitable for laser marking, scribing, and engraving; laser 3-D printing; photovoltaic production; and welding.

The product is designed to the industry standard XY2-100 command protocol for plug-and-play replacement of existing scan heads. Self-tuning technology compensates for mechanical wear to help extend service life.
