Prima Laser Next 2141 3-D fiber laser machine offered in four configurations

Prima Power has introduced the Laser Next 2141 3-D fiber laser machine. The product is designed for manufacturers of stamped metal parts in job shops, press shops, aerospace, agricultural, and automotive. The machine, designed to be as universal and multipurpose as possible, offers flexibility in processes, part sizes, and configurations, the company states.

The unit’s working volume is 13.5 by 6.9 by 3.3 ft. with a very compact footprint. It can process both 3-D and 2-D parts and can switch easily from cutting to welding applications.

Features include linear motors on the main axes, direct drive on the focusing head, and advanced control systems, with single-axis speed of 393.7 FPM and trajectory speed of 682.4 FPM.

The standard configuration with fixed tables uses the entire working envelope to process large parts and offers accessibility from all sides. With the split cabin configuration, the working volume is separated by a removable wall and a sliding roof into two halves, where parts are alternatively processed or loaded/unloaded. The wall can be removed to restore the entire working envelope when needed for larger parts.

For fast part handling without machine stops, the turntable configuration is available. It is suitable for large-series production of medium to large parts. The shuttle table configuration allows fast, automatic movement of parts and fixtures outside the working area from the sides or the front of the machine.
