Vision-guided, remote welding beam delivery system interfaces to variety of lasers

The Laser Mech® Scout is a vision-guided, remote welding beam delivery system that provides quick and simple part setups. The easy-to-program system interfaces to a variety of lasers and synchronizes to various robots or PLCs using common communication protocols.

The system handles laser welding or soldering of high-accuracy parts that are spaced randomly or located on conveyors, dial tables, or held by relatively imprecise fixtures in robot cells.

Available in three sizes, the head delivers accuracies from ±10 to ±25 microns, working distances from about 4 to 16 in., fields of view from 1.5 by 1.5 in. to 4.3 by 4.3 in., and lasers powers to 5 kW.
