Norton Merit Pink R928 flap wheels from Saint-Gobain grind stainless steel

Saint-Gobain Abrasives has introduced a line of Norton Merit Pink R928 flap wheels and specialties for grinding stainless steel. This abrasive material provides faster cutting and longer life compared to traditional aluminum-oxide products, according to the company. The products have a poly-cotton backing for increased life, and they offer a grinding aid for cool cutting on hard-to-grind materials.

To support these abrasives, the company offers the Norton hand-held pneumatic die grinder. Its double-bearing spindle helps reduce vibrations. Adjustment of the speed regulator gives the operator control of the surface finish. The small, lightweight grinder features a nonslip grip. It offers a free speed of 25,000 RPM for deburring, light to medium surface cleaning and stock removal, welding preparation, and finishing.
