Xiris Automation adds audio to weld camera system

Xiris Automation Inc. has developed a weld microphone system that integrates into its weld camera system. This gives users the ability to use sight and sound while welding to fine-tune and monitor the welding process from a safe distance, such as in a control room.

The microphone system is designed for the welding environment and includes the microphone, cables, and a specialized signal processing card embedded in the HMI. Additional software features include the ability to record and play back audio with the video and to equalize the audio to enhance or minimize surrounding noise.
