Marcegaglia signs sales agreement with Phillips Metals for North American market

Marcegaglia and Phillips Metals Inc. (PMI), Romeoville, Ill., have signed an agreement to provide sales of DOM products into the North American market. The tubes will be produced mainly by the new Chinese facility of The Marcegaglia Group. The agreement provides exclusive sales representation to PMI and targets a variety of tubular markets, including hydraulic cylinders, automotive, industrial, and distribution.
Marcegaglia is an Italy-based steel manufacturer and the largest stainless tubular products company in the world. The plant in China manufactures ERW and DOM tubes up to 9 in. OD and 0.75 in. wall in rounds, squares, rectangles, ovals, and other customer-specified shapes.
PMI is a manufacturer's representation and trading company with sales offices throughout the U.S. It provides sales and consulting services for mills producing multiple types of tubular products including DOM, ERW mechanical, structural, aluminum, galvanized, heat transfer-related products, and seamless (hot finished and cold drawn).
