Team Industries expands in Texas
- December 6, 2019
- News Release
- Tube and Pipe Fabrication
Team Industries Inc. has announced it has started an expansion of its Port Arthur, Texas, facility. This is the company’s largest expansion in Texas since acquiring the Team Fabricators facility in 2008. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2020.
Phase I construction on the company’s Port Arthur, Texas, main fabrication building will add 22,822 sq. ft. to the existing 75,000-sq.-ft. facility. This expansion will include a segregated fabrication bay dedicated to stainless and high-alloy fabrication, an addition to the existing carbon and low-alloy fabrication bay, and an office remodel.
Phase II comprises a 40,000-sq.-ft., newly constructed building for the on-site paint and blast facility. The new coating facility will be SSPC-QP3-certified and equipped with technology for the surface preparation and coating application of pipe spools, vessels, and structural supports. The coating facility will incorporate an abrasive blast cleaning booth and coating application booths and has additional space for growth.
The expansion of this facility was fueled by the growing demand for pipe spool and tank/vessel fabrication in the Gulf Coast region. It will allow the company to meet all project requirements under one roof, from start to finish.
