Fives to provide complete tube mill to Orrcon Steel

Fives will supply a complete tube mill to Orrcon Steel.

Fives has announced that, together with its regional partner ProTube Engineering, it will design, manufacture, and supply a complete OTO tube mill to Orrcon Steel, part of BlueScope, in Unanderra, Australia.

The mill, which will be complete from coil loading to an automatic packaging system for 10-in.-dia. steel tubes, will produce tubes and profiles for residential, industrial, and commercial buildings, as well as structural and architectural elements. It will include a loading carriage with integrated burr rotation, as well as a proprietary packaging system with three robotic arms made to fit the tube length and site layout.
