Esco MILLHOG tube expanders create uniform mechanical seal
Esco Tool has introduced MILLHOG® rolling motor and tube expander kits for straight, flare, long-reach, and beaded rolls. The rolling motor with adjustable torque control prevents over- and underexpansion to help ensure a tight, uniform bond between the tube and OD and the tube sheet. A selection of adapters and universal pivoting extensions are available.
The pneumatically powered equipment provides torque control from 25 to 325 ft.-lbs. and can be set to stall the tool when the desired tube expansion is met. The adjustable expanders are available with 90-, 190-, and 280-RPM motors that operate on standard shop air, and they are suitable for rolling tubes from 5/8 to 4-1/2 in. OD.
