Heat covers protect pipe purging equipment

Argweld® heat covers from Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT® protect pipe purging systems from high temperatures. Designed for pipework diameters less than 6 in., the heat covers work with PurgElite® and PurgExtra™ tube and pipe weld purging systems with a temperature endurance up to 572 degrees F.

The heat covers are held on with ties. Holes are provided for the PurgElite and PurgExtra fittings, such as inlet, exhaust, and crimped-end.

For pipes that need to have the joints and HAZs heat-treated to high temperatures, the company supplies extra-long purge tubing that holds the two end dams together so that the dams can sit just outside of the heated zone.
