HFT’s HotPurge pipe purging system withstands high preheat

HotPurge, developed by Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT, is an inflatable pipe purging system for use with high-strength steel pipe joints that require pre- and postweld heating temperatures as high as 572 degrees F for lengthy periods. The inflatable seals at each end of the system are manufactured from flexible, thermally resistant materials, and the central collar also is temperature-resistant.

Manufactured in sizes 6 to 88 in., the system can be used repeatedly for weld purging and can keep the oxygen levels at less than 100 PPM throughout the welding cycle to help ensure oxidation-free welds without the metallurgical imperfections caused by rapid heating and cooling.
