3YourMind’s AM Part Identifier software checks part’s potential for 3-D printing

3YourMind has introduced a revised version of the Additive Manufacturing Part Identifier (AMPI). The software automatically checks large part databases to detect which parts are good business cases for 3-D printing, and whether to switch from traditional manufacturing to AM for any given part. The analysis comprises technical and economic aspects and is based on metadata of individual components, such as material selection, quality, and production requirements or specifications from CAD programs (optional).

A new feature is Use Case Screening, which allows employees to check components for their economic and technical AM feasibility using a structured and digitized process.
