Filament and powder allow 3D-printing of bone-like objects

FibreTuff medical-grade filament and powder yield a surface texture with pores, giving parts produced from them the appearance of bone.

The filament, which can be used to produce objects such as skulls, femurs, metatarsals, skull caps, and mandibles, has properties similar to Nylon 11 and Nylon 12. The powder, for SLS-style 3D printers, can be used to build anatomical bone models.

FibreTuff is available at Amazon and ebay. Service bureaus that additively manufacture FibreTuff components include DelRay Systems, nScrypt, and Viscus Biologics.
