Kodak Portrait portable 3D printer offers dual extruders, dual hotends

Kodak offers the Portrait 3D printer. It features a print volume of 200 by 200 by 235 mm, making it suitable for producing most conceptual models and functional parts, yet it fits on a desk and can be transported by one or two people.

The fused filament fabrication printer has dual extruders with dual hotends. A hotend lifting system enables the inactive hotend to get out of the way when the other one is printing, which prevents the second hotend from dragging the deposited material. In addition, the printer’s extrusion system handles a variety of materials.

The enclosed print chamber keeps fingers away from hot or moving parts, reduces noise, and keeps warm air in and cold drafts out to prevent warping in large printed objects.
